To keep today’s angry crab trifecta recipe simple, I only use snow crab legs, jumbo king shrimp, red potato, and corn as the main ingredients.

We enjoy seafood because of its variety and sense of adventure. There are always new products gaining popularity, entering the market, or simply catching our attention. When we see something delicious, we add it to our menu – even if it’s only for a limited time.
You might walk in one day and see a special of Mahi, scallops, halibut, or other fresh seafood. This consistent rotation pleases seafood lovers while also driving sales for our franchise partners.
If a new product performs particularly well, we incorporate it into the menu. We are constantly experimenting to determine what works best to support revenue growth across our locations.
We’ve recently been experimenting with more non-seafood entrees, combination platters, and gluten-free options. We’ll see what makes it!

What exactly is a seafood boil?
The term “seafood boil” refers to the method of cooking large amounts of shellfish with vegetables and spices.
Seafood boils are a popular social activity in towns all over the United States – and the world. Different regions draw inspiration from various culinary traditions, such as Scandinavian fish boils around the Great Lakes, Cajun crab boils around the Gulf of Mexico, and South Carolina shrimp boils with sausage and corn.
All of these traditions have one thing in common: a fun atmosphere and a focus on group bonding. That dynamic is present in all of our restaurants at Angry Crab Shack. Our relaxed (and lively) dining environment and long tables are ideal for large groups. And our sauce-drenched seafood served in a boil bag makes guests happy – albeit a little messy.
Seafood boils will become even more interesting as chefs and home cooks from various backgrounds continue to share recipes. Vietnamese immigrants who moved to Louisiana after the Vietnam War, for example, added garlic and butter to their boils.
This practice had a significant impact on the region’s seafood boils. Angry Crab Trifecta Sauce Recipe
Ingredients For Boiling Seafood
- A big pot with 7 to 8 cups of water
- 1 kg snow crab legs (cut them as little as you can)
- 1 kg raw jumbo king shrimp
- 4 corn on the cob cut into halves
- 4 to 5 small red potatoes
- 2 tbsp green seasoning (1 for a pot of water and one for sauce)
- 1 to 2 tbsp old bay seasoning (for pot and sauce)
- 1 to 2 tbsp smoked paprika
- Pink Salt
- ½ tsp chili powder to taste
- Chili flakes (optional)
- 1 tsp complete seasoning
- 1 tsp seafood seasoning
- 4 Maggie cubes (you can also use chicken broth)
- 4 cloves of garlic minced
Angry crab trifecta sauce ingredients
- 3 sticks garlic butter/ regular butter (for sauce)
- ½ tsp chili powder
- 1 to 2 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 to 2 tbsp old bay seasoning
- 1 to 2 tbsp smoky Cajun seasoning
- 1 tsp seafood seasoning
- Some chili flakes
- 1 small onion
- Lemon pepper (optional)
Ingredients for Garnish
- Multipurpose roasting bag
- A big cooking pot for boiling seafood
- A medium pot for cooking sauce
- 1 Serving Bowl
- 1 wooden cooking spoon
How To Make Angry Crab Trifecta Sauce
Step 1: Place the pot on the stove:
Place a large cooking pot on the stove and turn it on. Pour 6 to 8 cups of water into the pot to begin boiling the seafood. Set the pot on the stove.
Step 2: Boil the corn and potato:
Add a pinch of pink salt, 1 tsp complete seasoning, 1 tsp seafood seasoning, 4 Maggie cubes, 1 to 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning, 1 to 2 tbsp old bay seasoning, and 2 tbsp green seasoning after warming the water. Add red potato and corn to the water after 2 to 3 minutes. Allow them to boil for 15 minutes with the lid on.
Step 3: Add the shrimp:
After 15 minutes, use a fork or spoon to check the potato and corn. Then, place the shrimp in boiling water and cook for 4 to 5 minutes.
Step 4: Add snow crab legs
After 5 minutes, add the snow crab legs to the boiling water and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes.
Step 5: Make the sauce:
Heat the butter/garlic butter in a medium saucepan. Allow the butter to melt completely. Gradually stir in 12 teaspoon chili powder, 1 to 2 tablespoons smoked paprika, 1 to 2 tablespoons old bay seasoning, 1 tablespoon smoky Cajun seasoning, 1 tablespoon seafood seasoning, lemon pepper, and some chili flakes if desired. Stir them together so that all of the ingredients are well combined.
Step 6: To the sauce, add a slice of onion:
After 1 minute of cooking, add the onion slices to the butter sauce. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 7: Layer the seafood and vegetable inside a bag:
Layer boiled crabs, shrimp, potato, and corn inside a multipurpose roasting bag.
Step 8: Fill the bag with the sauce:
Pour a generous amount of sauce into the bag after adding the crab, potato, corn, and shrimp. Make sure the sauce gets all the way inside the bag. The bag is then clipped shut.
Step 9: Reshape the bag:
Shake the bag to thoroughly combine the sauce and seafood. Agitate the bag
Step 10: Serve the Seafood:
Pour the seafood mixture from the bag into a serving bowl. Serve the recipe with lemon juice or lemon. Garnish with parsley if desired.

- Keep leftover cooked seafood in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days.
- Store them in a shallow covered container because this type of container allows the seafood to cool quickly to the proper temperature.
- Remember that while refrigeration can keep your food cold, it cannot prevent bacterial growth.
- As a result, it is critical to consume food within the time frame specified. Otherwise, your food may become unsafe or spoil.
